Dodo has no account, no ads, no child profile, no microphone use, and no session replay. We collect a small amount of anonymous product and purchase data to operate and improve the app.

Who is responsible

Information stored only on your device

Your selected sound, sound filter, timer and cached purchase access are stored in iOS app preferences so Dodo can resume your setup. Dodo does not upload recordings, contacts, photos, child information, names, email addresses, or written feedback. Deleting the app removes its local preferences.

Anonymous product analytics

We use a dedicated EU-hosted PostHog project to understand whether Dodo works well. Events may include the stable identifier and category of a selected sound; whether playback started or stopped; filter and timer identifiers; when the Lifetime offer was shown or closed; and sanitized purchase or restore outcome categories. PostHog receives a random installation identifier. We do not call PostHog identify, create a personal profile, use IDFA, track you across other companies' apps or sites, enable automatic screen or element capture, or record sessions.

Purchases

Apple processes payment. RevenueCat validates the non-consumable Lifetime purchase and restores access. It may process a random app-user identifier, product identifier, purchase and entitlement status, storefront information, and transaction history needed for functionality and aggregate analysis. Dodo never receives your card details.

Why we process it

• App preferences and purchase access: to provide the service you requested.
• Minimal product analytics and reliability: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving a stable app, balanced by anonymous identifiers and strict data minimisation.
• Legal and transaction records held by Apple or RevenueCat: where required to complete, restore, account for, or protect purchases.

Processors and international transfers

Apple, RevenueCat and PostHog process data under their own terms and our provider settings. PostHog ingestion is configured for the EU. Providers may use approved transfer mechanisms where processing occurs outside your country.

Retention and your choices

We retain provider data only as long as needed for the purposes above, configured service retention, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. You may stop future analytics by deleting the app. Because the analytics identifier is anonymous and Dodo has no account, we may be unable to locate an individual record without the relevant technical identifier. You may still contact us to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection where applicable, and you may complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.

Children

Dodo is operated by an adult parent or caregiver. It is not designed for a child to enter information and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If Dodo's data practices change materially, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy answers before publishing the relevant version.
